Call of Duty: Vanguardwas released on November 5. Normally, review scores wouldn’t wait that long, but when reviews come in slowly, it takes time for the table to become clear.
At the time of reporting, 19 reviews were shared on Opencritic; average is 78 points. Metacriticdoesn’t have much scrutiny either; The average of 5 reviews shared for the PC version is 81 points, and the average of 17 shared reviews for the PS5 version is 76 points. For other versions, not enough reviews have been shared yet.

Metacritic has also started to share player reviews of the game. Average of 111 shared player ratings for PC version 6.5 points, average of 192 shared player reviews for PS5 version 5.3 points and average of 63 shared player reviews for Xbox Series X version 7.1 points, average of 45 shared player ratings for PS4 version 7.2 points and Xbox One the average of 27 player reviews shared for the version is 6.1 points.
Vanguard apparently didn’t make that expected jump for the series either. But that doesn’t change the fact that it’s going to be played like crazy again, that it’s going to make its producer the world’s money again. When this “golden laying hen” loses its quality; That’s when I think we’ll see some serious changes in the series, don’t you?
