Players who purchase a boxed version of Call of Duty: Vanguard, that is, a physical disc, will also need to have a mandatory internet connection and download content to play the game. According to the detail provided by Destruction Games on Twitter, the game’s boxes have the words “Internet required” and “Content must be downloaded”.
So activision hasn’t put the full version of the game in boxed versions of Call of Duty: Vanguard and will ask for updates online, which leads to no jokes left but for the collection purpose of purchasing the physical version of the game.
As expected, the physical version of COD Vanguard is going to require internet for a mandatory download pic.twitter.com/K7hPFkDCk9

You know where Call of Duty games are covered on disk, the download sizes of the games are increasing. This suggests that there will be only one disc in the physical boxes of the game, and the rest of the content will need to be downloaded from the internet. It should come as no surprise that, like some other games, only game code comes out of the box instead of a disc or a physical format.
Call of Duty: Vanguard will be released worldwide on October 5.
