Candace Parker of the WNBA’s Chicago Sky will be on the cover of the special edition of “NBA 2K22.”
“NBA 2K” announced Wednesday that for the first time a female athlete will be featured on one of the covers of the game.
“The cover of NBA 2K is a very important platform to inspire young basketball players,” Parker said in a statement.
On Twitter, Parker said he was “extremely proud and happy” with the cover.
Parker will appear in the North American GameStop Exclusive Edition of the game, which celebrates the WNBA’s 25th anniversary, while the NBA’s Luka Doncic will appear in the Standard Edition. Kevin Durant, Dirk Nowitzki and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar will take part in another edition celebrating the NBA’s 75th anniversary.
