We first heard the name Dragon;s Dogma 2 in 2019, when the famous producer Hideaki Itsuno, who was working on Devil May Cry 5 ;d, and announced that Dragon’s Dogma 2 was among the games he was considering to make in the future.
In 2020, Capcom’s release schedule was leaked, where we saw Dragon’s Dogma 2, Street Fighter 6, Onimusha New York, and Resident Evil 4 Remake.
When we came to 2021, we learned that Dragon;s Dogma 2 would use the same game engine as Resident Evil Village, but there was still no official announcement of the game.
Time has passed, passed, passed…
Finally, last night, during the 10th anniversary broadcast of Dragon;s Dogma, Capcom officially announced Dragon;s Dogma 2! Now we can have a sigh of relief:)
The game’s director, Hideaki Itsuno, began by saying, “We’re sorry to keep you waiting,” and added, “We’re currently developing Dragon;s Dogma 2!”
That’s it. There are no details about the game, but we have the logo. It was also confirmed that the RE Engine was used. So all the leaks turned out to be correct. Now all that’s left is to wait with us taking our Pawn with us.
