In the past days, SEGA has increased the prices of its games in Turkey very seriously, 60 TL; Yakuza Zero, Bayonetta, Vanquish such as the price of the games to 250 TL, that is, about 300% increased.
The answer we were waiting for when we asked which publisher company is next, came from Capcom, and as of this morning, Capcom;s Steam portfolio has started to be hiked again. There are some games that haven’t been affected by the hike yet (like Monster Hunter), but we can assume that Capcom will be overhauling all prices soon. Therefore, if there is a game you want to buy among the Capcom games and it has not seen a hike yet, I think you better hurry up.
Here are a few examples of the new prices:
- Resident Evil 2 Remake from 179 TL to 403 TL (125% increase)
- Resident Evil 1 from 40 TL to 202 TL (400% increase)
- DmC Devil May Cry from 60 TL to 298 TL (400% increase)
These prices are definitely not taken, especially if you ask whether to buy games from the old portfolio. Capcom has already stopped selling with TL to partner sites that sell game codes for a while, with this arrangement, sales in the Turkish market will be brought down thoroughly. In short, we can say that we feel the effect of the high exchange rates in our country once again alive.
