Captain America, one of the touchstones of the Marvel Cinematic Universe,lives on. Although Steve Rogers retired after Avengers: Endgame, that famous shield was sam wilsonwith Falcon & Winter Soldier. However, after the series ended, the fourth Captain America film was announced and it was raised that Steve Rogers could return. Fortunately, the MCU didn’t throw away all this character development and decided to move on with Sam Wilson.
Captain America 4 has been confirmed, Deadline reported. Antohny Mackie, who plays Sam Wilson, has also signed a new contract with Disney, guaranteeing a starring role in Captain America 4. That doesn’t mean the new film, Steve Rogers, won’t be back for sure. The original Captain America could be in the film like a mentor. Or, after his possible return, he could continue to be in the universe without Captain America, just like in the comics.
Although the fourth Captain America film is not yet directed, Dalan Musson will write the screenplay for the new film, along with Malcolm Spellman, the screenwriter of Falcon & Winter Soldier. The John Walker character we saw on the show will probably reappear in captain america stories next term. In fact, it’s possible to say that the MCU has raised a Dark Avengers in the background.
