Casey Hudson has been one of bioware’s most important figures over the years. MDK 2 directed Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic after working on such plays as Baldur;s Gate II: Shadows of Amn, Neverwinter Nights. And then he hit the pinnacle of his career, and he was in the director’s chair of the Mass Effect trilogy.
He left BioWare in 2014, then moved to Microsoft, where he returned to the studio in 2017 to become general manager. In late 2020, he left BioWare once again.
Here’s Hudson finally coming up with his new project and announcing that he’s starting his own game studio, Humanoid Studios. The studio’s working on a brand-new IP right now.
Hudson, who shared the message “We’re creating something very special right now and we invite you to join us,” did not give any information about the new game. Now that they’re still in the process of recruiting developers, this new IP is only available as an idea.
