If you recall, Furiosa, which will be a side film in the Mad-Max series, was postponed until 2024. A few weeks after the decision to postpone, the project took another punch. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, who we know with Aquaman, left the cast because the film coincided with other projects.
Mateen will be replaced by British actor Tom Burke. Deadline reported that Abdul-Mateen had good reason to leave Furiosa. First, he will play Black Manta in aquaman’s sequel, and then he will be interested in Matrix 4.
Furiosa will be starring Anya Taylor-Joy and Chris Hemsworth. We’ll see the formation of Furiosa, starring Charlize Theron as her “old age.” For now, the roles of Hemsworth or our new actor, Tom Burke, are unclear.
