Konami Digital Entertainment, B.V. announced in this week’s Nintendo Direct release that the Castlevania Advance Collection is available for computers on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Steam. The collection includes Castlevania: Circle of the Moon, Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance and Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow, the most acclaimed games in the Castlevania series. In addition, there is a fourth bonus game in the collection: castlevania: Vampire’s Kiss (also known as ‘Dracula X’ in America), the SNES game released in 1995.
The Castlevania Advance Collection Development team said, “We wanted more people to be able to experience the Castlevania series, especially action/adventure games, because they are all masterpieces that can still be enjoyed today. We realized that there are very few games that can really be played on today’s consoles, and we started to create the Castlevania Advance Collection. We decided to launch this version on a multi-platform so that as many people as possible can enjoy these games on their consoles.
The Castlevania series celebrates its 35th anniversary this year thanks to the support of fans and, of course, everyone involved in its development. As a producing team, we are honored to work on this series and will continue to strive to make Castlevania known and playable to as many people as possible. Thank you for your support!”
In addition to accessing these four timeless classics, castlevania advance collection gives players brand new features to enhance their gaming experience. Music-loving players will have instant access to and listen to a total of 71 iconic Castlevania songs, including hidden ones, and create their own customizable playlists to listen to their favorite songs over and over again.
They will also be able to get an unprecedented glimpse into the visual world of the game through the in-game gallery with sketches. Previously unearthed images and different package designs in the collection are also details that may be of interest to fans of the series.
The Castlevania Advance Collection also includes a special section where you can learn about enemies, equipment, items and much more. Players will be able to record, replay or rewind their games at any time to ensure that no region or enemy is overlooked. Finally, M2 Co., Ltd. has worked hard to provide world-class emulation support to these classic Castlevania games. Whether you’re an old fan or just getting started in the series, all players can enjoy these new features and rediscover Castlevania!
