CD Projekt RED has announced a new Witcher game with a mysterious new Witcher medallion. Now the developer gives more tips on what to expect from the game. The Lynx School could be a sign of the start of the new Witcher saga, as the firm has confirmed that the medallion is a lynx.

Robert Malinowski, the CDPR’s communications director, told Eurogamer, “Ok, some mysteries shouldn’t be so mysterious. I can confirm that the medallion is actually in the form of a lynx.”
In the fantasy universe, every Witcher has a special medallion showing the school they’re studying at. For example, Geralt’s is Kurt (hence his nickname, White Wolf). There’s only one cat school in the Witcher universe. However, there is no mention of lynx in books or anywhere else published comics.
It is rumbling that our hero Geralt is retiring.
It seems that CD Projekt is carrying out new work on the brand to create something new. Interestingly, there is actually a Lynx School, but this was created in fan fiction that saw Witcher Lambert set out with the wizard Kiera Metz to build a new Lynx School based on the tenants of the original Cat School. There is no official content.
CD Projekt takes care to say that this game is not The Witcher 4 and that the game is in the early pre-production development stages.
