Cd Projekt president Adam Kicinski, who participated in the Video Games Chronicle for the Q&A event, was asked if he had plans to release Cyberpunk 2077 on Xbox Game Pass. Kicinski said it’s too early to release the game on the subscription service.
Kicinski said of the subscription service: “We always take advantage of all kinds of business opportunities. But such a subscription model benefits at a certain time when the product is the best. So it’s too soon.
We need to weigh the benefits and costs every time. We need to compare this to sales. This process is actually a data-driven decision. So it’s too early for Cyberpunk.”
Cyberpunk 2077 was released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in December 2020. It can also be played on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S with backward compatibility.
