The legendary city-building game Cities: Skylines, published by Paradox Interactive, sold 12 million copies. The production, which has a serious player base, has a structure that constantly updates itself. The development team continues to bring DLC packs to the game at regular intervals.
Cities across all platforms: Skylines generated 12 million sales
The production first debuted in 2015 and was released for the Switch three years later. Although it has not undergone a structural change, the game has encountered serious problems on the Switch side and has not been preferred by the players after a while. The team then made serious strides in the PC version and never reduced the interest in the game by constantly adding new content.
For the production, which has reached 12 million sales on all platforms, Mariina Hallikainen, CEO of its developer Colossal Order, made a statement. “We’re delighted to know that the Cities: Skylines player community is active with such a large number of players, and we’re also delighted to have players share their passion for the city-building game with us. The fact that we have reached so many players since the day it debuted can be seen as a dream come true. We listen and evaluate any feedback from players with great seriousness. We will work harder to cheer them up even more in the future and strengthen their passion for the game.”
To celebrate this good news, a birthday patch has been released on the PlayStation and Xbox versions of the game. But unfortunately this patch did not come for Switch players.
