Corsair HS75 XB Wireless Review

Corsair’s HS series has been in our lives for some time with different models and revisions. We were very pleased with this series, which we tested many models from HS35 to HS70. Currently, the HS60 PROis among the mid-range gaming headsets, and among the mid-to-upper-range wirelesss, the HS70 is comfortable among the first models we recommend.

Maybe they don’t have aggressive designs like Corsair Void that might interest you at a glance, but they’re among the best at their own price level, with their performances in music and games, robust structures and material quality.

The evolution of such a successful series, of course, would not have ended here. However, Corsair came up with a very interesting product this time, which we can even call “niche”. So much so that before the Xbox Series S/X arrived, we can even say that the Xbox Exclusive headset has arrived!

The HS75 XB Wireless is quite similar to the HS70 in terms of design, we can even say that they are separated only in detail. The HS75 XB used a theme that favored black/white/gray, and I liked it for myself. The metal skeleton of the product, which supports the ear cushions, continues along the head bridge and is also reinforced with aluminum on top. The HS75 XB fits comfortably in your head, you can easily adjust it, and the ear cushions made of memory sponge and covered with artificial leather do not tire you even in long uses. Everything we can say about comfort is very positive.

The HS75 XB features the on/off key on the right side and the Chat Mix adjustment button, one of the most important features of the headset. So you can easily adjust the balance between your friend’s voice/the sound of the game without having to deal with the game’s audio settings for minutes. On the left side, there is a removable microphone port (which can be closed with the cover so that it does not dust), a mute switch and microphone mute buttons. Each one is easy to access, the keys don’t mix.

It is not very comfortable to hang it on your neck during small breaks as the headset cannot turn inward or stretch. It probably didn’t need to be used in front of the console at home.

The most important feature of the product is that it has been developed specifically for Xbox consoles. The HS75 XB Wireless 2.4Ghz can connect to Xbox One and upcoming Xbox Series X consoles in a matter of seconds without using any additional adapters. Despite Xbox’s cumbersome menu, switching from regular speakers to headphones also takes a few seconds. Unfortunately, there is also a negative situation at this point, the HS75 XB needs an Xbox Wireless Adapter to connect to your computer. The price of this product, which is not included in the box contents, is about 140 TL. If you want to use it on your computer, we recommend considering this, since the USB-C cable is not wired to your HS75 computer for charging only. At this point, I would prefer that such an expensive product does not require an Xbox Gaming Adapter, at least with the option of connecting with cable. For someone who doesn’t have much technical knowledge, it’s not even a matter of getting a surprise when you’re trying to get this beautiful headset and connect it to the PC.

So how’s his performance? The music performance is very, very successful, as we’re used to from the HS70. In fact, I can safely say that it is one of the best in terms of stage, bass/treble balance and clarity among all player headphones. He’s a great alternative, especially in his class. Drivers with a frequency response of 20Hz-20Khz (109db precision)with 50mm neodymium magnets, which we can call classic, also promise a very successful performance in games, with the contribution of Dolby Atmos.

You can also adjust equalizer settings with the Dolby App, which you can download to Xbox. Likewise, it is also possible on PC (again, the adapter we are talking about is essential) HS75 XB provides very successful accuracy, clarity and ultimately clear communication with the audio-cutting microfu. The microphone may not be the best we’ve seen, but its performance is certainly at the expected level.

When it comes to wireless headphones, of course, other details need to be discussed. The wireless range of the HS75 XB is not very long, it does not lose its connection between 9-11 meters according to the structure of your home. The duration of use on full charge is 20 hoursaccording to the factory data, we could not keep a full figure as a result of one or two mishaps, but we can say that there is a battery life that confirms this data. The HS75 XB weighs about 330 grams. This, of course, is not very light, but when you see the quality of the material and workmanship of the product, you don’t really worry about it when you take it in your hand and look at it like this.

If you’re aware this time, we didn’t mention iCUE. The Corsair HS75 XB has completely pushed simple settings into the Dolby Atmos app, even if you use it from a PC. Of course, the possibilities of personalization are more limited, but still sufficient.

After all, Corsair has made us a product that pleases us once again. Of course, the product is designed to be friends with the Xbox console and does not promise much for those who do not have it, Corsair has other products exclusive to other platforms after all. I wish it wasn’t $2,501 ($149 abroad), but considering the dollar and customs duties, we can’t even get a peek at the price.
