Activision commissioned Toys for Bob, the studio behind Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, to support the development of Call of Duty: Warzone.
Toys for Bob said they were proud to support the development of the third season of Call of Duty: Warzone. It’s unclear whether it’s permanent or just for a third season.
As a result of this change, there were layoffs from the studio. Character designer Nicholas Kole, who left Toys for Bob earlier this year, says everyone he interacts with and works with is sent from the studio. Game designer Blake Maloof said he had to leave the studio.
Activision declined to comment on the layoffs.
