Applications for the 2021 leg of the Crystal Pixel Video Game Awards, which have been held since 2012 to identify and reward games with original intellectual property developed in Turkey, have started as of today. Turkey’s best games will be presented at the award ceremony on December 25, 2021.
Turkey’s Best Games to Be Selected
Crystal Pixel 2021 is organized in partnership with the Turkish Game Developers Association (TOGED), METU TEKNOKENT ATOM (Animation Technologies and Game Development Center), The Game Circle and METU GATES. Crystal Pixel aims to encourage the development of more domestic games by bringing game developers and digital games in Turkey to the attention of the public and industry. In line with this goal, applications will be evaluated by an elite jury consisting of important figures from the gaming world, the media and the academic community.
The games are; They will compete in 11 different categories, including the best mobile, PC, console, VR game of the year, best auditory art, best narrative and best visual art.
Developers applying for Crystal Pixel must have intellectual property rights to the game they have stated in their application and the game must be released on any platform between November 2, 2020 and December 9, 2021. The competition is open to Turkish developers operating at home or abroad and foreign developers residing in Turkey.
