For those who missed the beginning of the story, a new video released claimed that the Cyberpunk 2077 QA team was primarily responsible for the bugs in the game’s release. The video CD in question said that Projekt RED was misled, that the quality assurance tests of the game were carried out by novice employees who had not reached one year of work experience, and that all responsibility was Quantic Lab, an outsourcing QA company.

Cyberpunk 2077 QA team explains
The company’s CEO, Stefan Seicarescu, responded to the allegations to VGC . “We strive to work with our industry partners in transparency and honesty at all times,” he said. While Seicarescu did not deny all of the allegations made in the video, he said there was a misunderstanding of how the company’s working process works. “The video posted on social media begins with false statements about the history of the Quantic Lab,” he said. “There seems to be a lack of understanding in the process of how a game is tested before it is released.”
He said Quantic Lab currently has more than 400 employees in three offices in Romania and has over 60 active customers. “Quantic Lab supports more than 200 projects a year from many of the world’s leading publishers and continues to maintain the approach that quality comes first in all the work we undertake,” he said.
The CEO of Quantic Lab also claims that in the problems of Cyberpunk 2077, which was released in December 2020, there may be faults of “multiple parties”. So we can understand from this that the company admits that they may have made a mistake somewhere. But they think that this mistake is not made only from one side.
“All of our client contracts are confidential, but in general, global publishers work with a few more QA outsourcing companies, in addition to internal QA resources at the developer level in most cases.”
While the Cyberpunk 2077 QA team emphasizes transparency and honesty, they don’t deny all of the claims, but say it’s not just them who are at fault.
