The PvP systems of the three Dark Souls games on the PC were “temporarily” shut down. According to a statement from Bandai Namco and From Software, security issues are behind this sudden decision. It has been discovered that some hackers can access users’ computers through the game.
From Software, which has entered the final straight for Elden Ring, seems to be dealing with this security issue of Dark Souls for a while. According to the statement, some players can access other players’ PCs using a new code. The PvP portion of the games has been unplugged because all DS games on the PC use the same system.
Bandai Namco says it is currently working on this issue. In a statement posted on Reddit, the community manager said necessary measures had already been taken and the team was working to resolve the issue.
