David Hayter, the first name that comes to mind when he says Solid Snake, says he thinks the Remake version of Metal Gear Solid is in development. YouTuber Dan Allen;the celebrity who appeared on his show said that a new version of Hideo Kojima’s unforgettable classic may be being developed.
“Until yesterday I thought it was just a rumor, but yesterday I got a message from a name inside saying it was happening,” Hayter said.
“A few days ago I had confirmation that this would not be a rumor, but it was still a rumor… but now it’s become an industry-wide rumor, which means the forecasts are more accurate.”
Hayter also said that if Konami was actually making MGS Remake, because of the age of the original recordings, he probably thought snake’s voice would have to be re-recorded and that he, too, could handle the young Snake voice.
“They can’t use the original PlayStation recordings because that sound card can’t even get close to today’s consoles. If you listen to these old tapes now, you can hear the traffic noises outside and all the room sounds, because we didn’t record them in the studio, we recorded them in a living room,” Hayter said, adding that he didn’t neglect to wink at Konami for the new play.
“We re-performed the whole game for the GameCube version, theoretically they could use them, but I still don’t think the quality will be at the desired level.”
Konami was said to be able to license other studios for the games he owned, and even said that the new Silent Hill game was being prepared in this way. Maybe that’s how Metal Gear Solid will be prepared.
