Dead Island 2 is one of those games that turns into a snake story. We’re talking about a game that was announced eight years ago, in 2014, and it still hasn’t made an debut. But now it seems that the end of this long development process is nearing, at least that’s tom henderson’s claims.
Henderson, who has previously shared a lot of leak information and provided important news about various games, posted a video about Dead Island 2 on his YouTube channel.
“Dead Island 2 is … alive!” henderson captioned the video. “Everyone I’ve interviewed says the game is in good shape and will be coming up with a gameplay video very soon. The release date of the game is expected to be the last quarter of 2022, but it may also be extended to next year due to problems in the development process.”
Henderson also shared some information about the beginning of the game and the story. “You’re on a plane and there’s a zombie outbreak on the plane. The plane crashes in Hollywood, and you get away with it. What you’re going to do next is try to survive on land.” When the game was first announced, there was a story about the American armed forces quarantined California; As it turns out, there’s been some changes to the story over the years.
The development of Dead Island 2, as I mentioned at the beginning, has been a very difficult process. The first developer of the game, announced in 2014, was Yager Development, after which Sumo Digital took over the game. Finally, in 2019, he switched to Dambuster in Deep Silver. About two years ago, a video was leaked from the game, but the leaked video was said to be from the 2015 version of the game.
You see, it’s a game that’s been on the agenda for a very long time, and if there’s no more setbacks, it’s going to meet gamers at the end of this year or early next year. What kind of game is going to come out after all these years of waiting?
