Update: The final secret mentioned by the department designer Julien Eveille in the original story was soon found. So we thought we’d update our story, but let’s just say it contains HEAVY SPOILERS on the story of the game. If you have a plan to play Deathloop, don’t read it and ruin your gaming experience:
As you know, our target at Fristad Rock, the Fia, has a nuclear reactor, and if it catches us anywhere near us, it starts a countdown and blows up the reactor. Here’s the latest secret to the game, as Twitter user @ElliotFinn first found and confirmed from Julien Eveille: we can get out and escape the map before the countdown is over. If we go to Updaam afterwards, we see that harriet, another target, preaches to the people through megaphones about the explosion, and her followers engage in dialogues about the explosion in the same way. If you killed Harriet in the morning, the dialogue is changing. On the horizon, we can see the smoke from the explosion. Deathloop hasn’t been off the agenda since the day it debuted, just like any other Arkane game. The game, which first attracted attention with its notes, is now on the agenda with its “unexplored mysteries”. Arkane’s department designerJulien Eveillé was the one who ignited the controversy with a tweet.
Eveillé said in a post that the players still haven’t solved a mystery. According to the designer, this “mystery” is not as deep as it seems. In fact, Heillé went a step further, sharing that the mystery was “right in front of the players.”
We look forward to solving the mystery that the designer mentioned, which only gives the players this clue. Let’s see if we’re really surprised by this surprise.
