Chinese players bombarded the game with negative reviews on Steam because of the Tibetan flag in Life Is Strange True Colors. The chinese players’ strong reaction stems from a store inside Life Is Strange: True Colorsand the flag on it. A Tibetan flag is on the door of the store “Treasures Of Tibet” in haven springs, where the game takes place.
Chinese players bombard Life Is Strange True Color with negative reviews
The “reviews” of Chinese players make up the bulk of the negative reviews on the Life Is Strange True Colors Steam page. In fact, the game’s player reviews on Steam are quite positive.
Some of the comments made by Chinese players about the game are as follows;
“This game implies the independence of Tibet and the deterioration of China’s integrity.”
“Tibet is part of China.”
A third – and rather harsh – critique of the game reads:
” Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau and Tibet have been Chinese territory since ancient times. As old-fashioned as this may seem, they will return to their homeland in time. I would advise these ignorant people to read more books and stop being stupid. Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau and Tibet are parts of China and will remain so forever.”
China passed a law last month giving under-18s the right to play online games for just one hour a day, which of course did not affect a one-man game, Life Is Strange: True Colors.
