Remedy, Control’s production team, provided some details about Project Condor, a PvE (Player vs. Environment) production that is still in development, while providing various updates on a new control game with a much higher budget that they plan to release in the future. In a recent company announcement, the company announced: Tero Virtala, CEO of the studio, gave Remedy fans a few ideas about which games they are currently developing.
Some details explained for the new high-budget Control game
Virtala says the studio’s profit growth provides the team with “stronger tools to implement our strategy and realize our ambitious long-term growth plans,” while expanding the studio’s multi-project capabilities and strengthening its in-house capabilities, especially related to project finance activities. After this announcement, which emphasizes that Remedy can work on multiple projects, Project Condor, a four-player co-op PvE game in the same universe as Control, is brought up.
Vitala also said later in the announcement that in connection with the deal with 505 Games, both companies are in the early concept phase for the new larger-budget Control game and have agreed on a variety of terms. Considering that control is played more than ten million players, it’s hardly surprising that a higher-budget version is coming. It is very gratifying that we will see a new control game with a higher budget in the future.
