Red Candle, known for 2D horror games such as Detention and Devotion, announced Nine Sols, a 2D action platformer inspired by Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice; late last year. At the time, only one promotional image was posted, and now we have the first gameplay video from the game.
The sekiro-inspired part of the game is ;d eflection; Mechanics. Besides, it’s not that a Hollow Knight spirit is intuitive, albeit slightly in visual style. The studio also saw fit for the atmosphere of the play, the word Taopunk.
Red Candle chose a Kickstarter-like funding path and launched a campaign to bring the project fully into life.
The monetary target for the campaign was 3 million Taiwanese dollars, or about $105,000. As soon as the campaign started, the money raised amounted to 4 million Taiwanese dollars, so we can say that the project is now in safe hands.
