The kerbal space program was first released on June 24, 2011; and in March 2013, steam;in early access program was released on April 27, 2015. This development process, which has been going on for over 10 years, ended with the big 1.12.2 update released this week.
From this point on, The Squad will focus on Kerbal Space Program 2 with Private Division.
Supporting a game for 10 years, enriching it with patches and content is a big deal in itself. That’s why I have to congratulate squad. However, although it is said that the development of the game has come to an end, Squad also says that “if it is much needed, we can release tiny patches”. So if there’s a big mistake in the game all of a sudden, squad won’t leave it like this.
A massive 1.12 update was released this year to mark the game’s 10th anniversary. With this new patch 1.12.2, some new features and debugging have arrived that don’t fit in that update.
Kerbal Space Program 2 is expected to be released in 2022.
