Last March, developer GSC Game World announced that development of the shooter action game Stalker 2 was suspended due to the ongoing war in Ukraine. By late March, it was reported that part of the team had moved from Kiev to Prague. Now, at this point, it is stated that the development of the suspended game continues.
The news that the development of the game is continuing came through the official Discord account, and this development was detected by the Polish-based site GRYOnline. To a fan who asked if development was underway on the Discord channel, one of the development team replied “in progress”.
Stalker 2 was to be officially released in December. However, due to the war in Ukraine, the development process was suspended. GSC Game World confirmed on its YouTube channel in early March that the development of Stalker 2 has stopped. Also earlier this year, the official website of Stalker 2 was blocked in Russia at the request of the Russian government.
