Blizzard’s sexual harassment and discrimination lawsuit has left the studio in a waterted-down. According to Kotaku, Diablo 4’s number one name was fired from the play’s director Luis Barriga and the game’s chief designer Jesse McCree Blizzard. Another name that has been cut off is World of Warcraft designer Jonathan LeCraft.
The three names have also been removed from Blizzard’s Slack channel. Kotaku saidthat all three names had been laid off, which had been forwarded to development teams, but no official announcement had been made.
McCree and LeCraft were named in the “Cosby Suite” report. Some Blizzard developers ; Cosby Suite; They gathered in a room they named and had a picture of Bill Cosby on the wall, where physical and verbal abuse was carried out (according to the case file). Barriga, on the other hand, doesn’t seem to have anything to do with this room, and his name wasn’t even mentioned in the published texts, but it means there’s something different about him.
Upon hearing of this incident, a spokesperson for Activision Blizzard confirmed in a statement that the three names no longer work for Blizzard. Those names have already been replaced, the spokesman said, adding that they will continue to look ahead to create a safe and productive working environment for everyone.
Luis Barriga was a very important figure in diablo 4’s vision. Barriga, who had been at Blizzard for more than 15 years, was one of the chief game designers of World of Warcraft.
We are looking forward to what the next roadmap of the game will be, having suddenly lost two important names.
