Blizzard has announced that the number of downloads (and installs on different devices) of Diablo Immortal has exceeded 20 million.
Blizzard celebrates this important milestone by awarding various rewards to players who enter the game, including Legendary Crests, gold and more.
When you enter the game, you will see a message called “20 Million Installs” in your mailbox. In addition to this message, Blizzard gave away a Legendary Crest, 30,000 gold, 15 Enchanted Dust and 200 Scrap Materials. They could have been more generous, of course, but maybe they’re saving bigger gifts for later turning points.
While such gestures aren’t enough to pull back players who have left the game because of the micropayments craze, let’s just say they’re better than nothing.
Blizzard president Mike Ybarra praised Diablo Immortal’s micropayment system, which allowed them to offer a free Diablo experience to millions of players.
