New information continues to come from Diablo IV, the action role-playing game developed by Blzizard Entertainment. In this context, the director of Diablo IV made new statements and said: “Players will not be able to spend real money to improve the abilities of the characters.”
In a new quarterly update to the Blizzard website, game director Joe Shely introduced the game’s live service features, especially the Seasons mode, where players start from scratch with a new character each season.
“Players will create a new character to play in the new season and get seasonal rewards and content as they level up with other players,” Shely said.
Another director, Joe Piepiora, said: “Players will be able to earn more rewards by completing missions throughout the season. The Season Pass, which has a battle pass-style progression, will provide players with many advantages.
The Season Pass will include both free rewards (cosmetics, premium currency and game power-ups) and paid rewards (cosmetics and premium currency only).”
According to Piepiora, the premium currency will be spent in the in-game store and can only be used to purchase cosmetic items. This means that the paid version of the Season pass will only offer players cosmetic items, not game power-ups.
