During last week’s State of Play, when Capcom started showing off his new dinosaur game, the conversation portion of the broadcast was filled with “Dino Crisis” inscriptions. In the end, the game turned out to be a brand new IP, but Capcom is not far from the classic Dino Crisis series.
Capcom has yet to provide any information about the universe in which Exoprimal is set, but one of the designers of the first Dino Crisis, Dino Crisis 2 and 3; Hiroyuki Kobayashi, is also involved.
Kobayashi tweeted that he was “deeply involved” in the new game, even adding a list of games he had worked on in the past. In addition to Dino Crisis, the list also includes games such as Resident Evil, Devil May Cry and Dragon’s Dogma.
Exoprimal is known to be headed by Takuro Hiraoka and Ichiro Kiyokawa, so Kobayashi is not in the role of producer in this new play. And I guess that’ll come out later.
The game will be set in 2043. For some unknown reason, mysterious swirls were opened up to the world, and thanks to them, dinosaur flocks came to our world.
Exoprimal will be released in 2023 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series.
