The Initiative, the “AAAA” gaming studio considered Microsoft’s most mysterious studio and yet to see a game, has been working on a reboot version of Perfect Dark for a long time. This new game also helps The Initiative with Cystal Dynamics, the developer of games such as the recent Tomb Raider trilogy and Marvel;s Avengers.
The trailer for Perfect Dark was said to be released soon, but some news from the studio raised eyebrows.
As Klobrille, known on the ResetEra forums (and Twitter; Neuburger has been stationed there almost since the studio was founded. There is no explanation as to the reason for the departure, and there is no place for this information outside the LinkedIn page. In such large-scale plays, the director leaving the studio in the middle of a project may not seem like a good sign, but maybe there’s something we don’t know.
However, when we compare the two studios, it is possible to say that The Initiative is smaller and more inexperienced than Crystal Dynamics, so perhaps Crystal Dynamics will handle the next part of Perfect Dark. Which means neuburger doesn’t get a lot of work done.
We’ll only get the answers to these questions when we’re shown something new about Perfect Dark and find out how the development phase is.
