We learned last month that Microsoft;un is interested in acquiring Discord; that negotiations have begun between the two companies, and that Microsoft; has forked out $10 billion. Discord has now halted talks and they are considering an option to go public rather than sell the firm, the Wall Street Journal reported.
Discord is not completely off the table, meaning talks between the two could resume in the coming weeks. It’s clear that the Discord acquisition will be a huge strategic move for Microsoft, and given the high level of its offerings, it seems they really want it. So we may also see this price increase in the coming period.
