A whole new era awaits us on behalf of the DC Cinematic Universe. With the rise of HBO Max, many more new characters will be included in the universe. Of course, there are some issues that are very amly consistency of the DCEU at the moment. However, with the flash film, it is aimed to eliminate these question marks and open a new page. Batgirl will be one of the characters who will get his solo film for the first time in the new era. We’ve seen a lot of Bat Family members on the big screen or in tv shows before, but with this film, we’re going to see Barbara Gordonin the lead role for the first time.
Itwould have made sense to see Barbara’s mentor, Batman, in the film starring Leslie Grace . Leslie Grace, however, thinks differently about it. Grace, who says she is a huge fan of The Harley Quinn character played by Margot Robbie,says she would love to see Harley cause her trouble in Gotham. “Batman’s not here. He’s doing other work. I’m here asking my female friends for help. You know what I mean, don’t you?” Grace was the first to officially confirm that Batman was not in the film.
Earlier, producer Kristin Burr said,“Thanks to Batgirl, we’re going to show viewers a fun ride that shows a different side of Gotham.” Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah will direct The Batgirl, written by Christina Hodson. The film is expected to air on HBO Max in 2022.
