The idea of Dragon Age 4 multiplayer seems to have been thrown away by Electronic Arts. Bioware released a statement on World Dragon Age day (December 4, yesterday) signaling that Dragon Age 4 (as expected) will be single-player-oriented. During Anthem’s release, Dragon Age 4 was also scheduled to be added to Electronic Arts’ Live Service-focused games list.
Dragon Age 4 may not be multiplayer-oriented
Bioware announced in its World Dragon Age Day post:
Speaking of new worlds and stories to explore, we’d also like to point out that we’re working very our new one-person-focused Dragon Age game. We look forward to making more detailed statements on this issue next year.” ç
The statement emphasized that the new Dragon Age game will be single player-oriented, giving Dragon Age fans hope. EA’s insistence that Anthem be “live-service” focused, and the failure of the game, on the contrary, may have made this decision by looking at the highly-held one-man game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
Dragon Age 4 chief designer Matthew Goldman left the firm last week.
