Publisher Square Enix and developersAMATA K.K. & Team Asano have announced Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake for consoles.
The release date has not been announced, but it plans to debut worldwide at the same time.
“This HD-2D style we use is a very good way to play,” said producer Masaaki Hayasaki, who has previously worked on games such as Octopath Traveler and Various Daylife. it combines pixel art with 3D effects to create a unique sense of depth and atmosphere.”
“By recreating Dragon Quest III in HD-2D style, we hope to enable everyone to experience the game with new eyes, from adults playing the original game when it first came out to young children who will get it for the first time.”
