Dragon’s Dogma director Hideaki Itsuno has finally announced that Dragon’s Dogma II is now in development. The highly anticipated announcement came during a livestream event where Dragon’s Dogma’s history was taken a look. A new logo for the highly anticipated sequel has also been released.
Itsuno developed many games before making his debut in Dragon’s Dogma. Itsuno, who started with the Street Fighter fighting game at Capcom in the 1990s, worked passionately for many years on arcade and action games. By 2000, Itsuno had released multiple games for Capcom’s arcade division, eventually beginning initial concept work for the role-playing game Dragon’s Dogma. However, Itsuno was tasked with developing Devil May Cry 2, Devil May Cry 3 and Devil May Cry 4 during this process. Dragon’s Dogma remained only a concept during this time.
After completing the production of the Devil May Cry games, Itsuno finally returned to his passion project. Thanks to its different approach to battle and the variety of enemies, Dragon’s Dogma stood out from other games and stood out.
