Dying Light developer studio Techland has released a next-generation patch that improves performance on next-generation consoles for the first game in the Dying Light series. The update, currently available for PS5 and PS4 Pro, offers new modes that offer higher frame rates and resolution, which we will detail below.

- 60 FPS performance mode in Full HD resolution
- Balanced mode with 60 FPS targeted in QHD
- 30 FPS quality mode in 4K resolution
PS4 Pro
- Improved 30 FPS limit on PS4 Pro
- New networking using the eOS solution
Techland said the same patch will be released for Xbox Series X/S consoles “in just a few days.” It is also known that it is working on a large patch for Dying Light 2, which was released in February.
