Entertainment Software Association has announced that E3 will not be held in 2022. It was previously announced that E3 2022 would be a digital-only event due to COVID-19. But now, E3 has been officially cancelled.
The Entertainment Software Association said of the cancellation: “Instead of this year’s event, we will transfer all our energy and resources to the next period. The next semester will be brand new and vibrant. You will be able to access this event from the showgrounds or devices. E3 2023 will be in a brand new format and will offer players an interactive experience.”
A date for E3 2023 has not yet been announced.
