Whether a Battlefield 2042 battle royale mode is on the way has been revealed by EA’s descriptions.
Broadcaster EA says it is making plans to provide three main multiplayer experiences in Battlefield 2042. Hazard Zone, one of the multiplayer modes, will not reflect the classic battle royale system. It will come across as a brand new type of team-based game that brings a modern interpretation to the multiplayer experience.
Given the tremendous success of Call of Duty Warzone and Fortnite, EA’s next move may be to try to capitalize on the battle royale trend. It’s already well known that you’re trying to do this with Battlefield 5 Firestorm, which was added to the game after launch.
One thing’s for sure at the moment, which is that EA isn’t considering a battle royale mode anytime soon. There was no immediate word on the future.
