Dead Space, buried seven stories below the ground by EA, may be preparing to rise from the ashes. The claim, first put forward by GamesBeat writer Jeff Grubb, that “EA will announce the sequel to a famous series” has confused the gaming world. All sectors have turned their eyes to the EA Play Live event on July 22nd.
Grubb’s claims were followed by similar reports from both VGC and Eurogamer. It is claimed that a “famous series” will be Dead Space. Let’s note that there is not much information available at this time about the game, which is suggested to be developed by EA;in Motive studio.
Motive, who made his name with Star Wars: Squadrons, had worked for a long time on a secret project called “Gaia”, but was shaken by the cancellation of the game six years later. The team that will allegedly be 60% to produce the new Dead Space game wants to tell a “different version of the story” and not a direct sequel.
Nevertheless, it should be noted that these statements are merely speculation. In short, dear friends, there’s no need to panic right now. Let’s see what EA has to show in its presentation exactly a month from now.
