Electronic Arts’ new open-world game developer studio will most likely be called Neon Black Studios. EA’s application to the U.S. and European Patent Offices last month revealed that the studio, which will “design and develop interactive, computer, video and electronic gaming software,” has a registration address listed as Redwood City, California, where EA’s head office is located.
The brand is the new “untitled” brand founded by former Monolith Productions vice president and studio leader Kevin Stephens. Looks like it belongs in the studio.
Electronic Arts announced the studio in May and said it was developing an “open-world action adventure game.” Stehens is well-trained in genre, having previously been involved in the development of games such as Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War.
