Another threshold was crossed in the Elden Ring speedrun, and for the first time a player was able to complete the game in the Any% Unrestricted category by going under 5 minutes. The previous record was held by the HYP3RSOMNIAC with 5 minutes and 10 seconds.
The record-breaking player Elden Ring speedrun is the well-known name of SeekerTV
In the Any% Unrestricted category everything is free, the only thing that matters is to see the last screen of the game. For example, when it is necessary to open a door to save time, they leave the game and load it again, thus avoiding the door opening animation and saving a few seconds. But the real magic here is in the use of Zip Glitch. Previous speedruns were already done with zip glitch, but it is a great achievement to be able to trigger this glitch every time just in time. So much so that it is necessary to make blocking and walking animations with perfect timing, thus confusing the game and teleporting the character to places where it would not normally be.

SeekerTV thinks it can improve its time even more, I personally think it’s impossible to go under 4 minutes, but we shouldn’t talk big.
