We recently saw elden ring give the game very high ratings as if the entire gaming press had agreed when the review embargo was lifted. In fact, we all had high expectations of the game, and we were guaranteed to get high scores, but although the reviews mentioned the poor performance of the game, especially on the PC, we found that not many points were broken from it.
This was due to the claim that “stuttering issues will be fixed” in the first day patch of the game, and most reviews gave the game full scores of 10 and 100 despite performance issues.
The Metacritic of the PC version of Elden Ring; the instant score average is 95 points in 39 reviews.
Similarly, OpenCritic has a total score of 96 points in 124 reviews.
However, with the expiration of metacritic’s 3-day rule, player scores began to appear and the average score in 850 evaluations was 5.6.
Again, when we look at the reviews on Steam, we see that 86704 reviews are 74% positive. Negative reviews are completely critical of the game’s performance issues.
Indeed, the PC performance of the game is problematic and this has nothing to do with the power of the system you have. Sudden FPS drops continue in some parts, with quick-motion scenes after the fall, crashes, patches released. So if you haven’t bought the game yet and are curious, it’s great to expect patches to solve these problems so you don’t get disappointed in this regard.
Our Hand-held Ring review will come from Onur’s pen, now in 85.5 hours and in the last boss (i.e. we hope so). But considering he’s complaining about constant performance issues, don’t expect 10 points from us to Elden Ring:)
