Electronic Arts continues to announce that they will not show much more than they will show at the EA Play event. Earlier this month, they announced that we would not be seeing the new Mass Effect game and Dragon Age 4, which is under development at EA Play. In their new statement, they say there is no Star Wars game in EA Play.
“We’re not going to show new Star Wars games on EA Play Live on July 22nd. However, when we share our vision for a galaxy far, far away next year, we look forward to celebrating it with you.”
The point is, it’s not the “Star Wars game,” it’s the “Star Wars games.” This is an indication that there are multiple Star Wars game plans within EA. The second notable part is that these announcements are scheduled for next year.
This year’s EA Play Live looks set to focus on the company’s sports games, Battlefield 2042; and the new Dead Space game.
