Canadian media company Enthusiast Gaming has acquired game maker Addicting Games for $35 million.
Founded in 2002, Addicting Games is an online portal that hosts more than 1,500 games. Enthusiast also acquired other brands as part of the deal, including browser-based writing game TypeRacer and education site Math Games.
“I am excited to announce that we have acquired Addicting Games, a pioneer in games with nearly two decades of experience to build a stable gaming audience,” said Adrian Montgomery, CEO of Enthusiast Gaming.
Last August, Enthusiast acquired YouTube gaming network Omnia Media in an $11.2 million deal. He also runs Luminosity Gaming, the professional esports division where he merged in 2019.
