In early August, a game mode called Fortnite;a Impostors was added. Even the maps of this mode, which was clearly inspired by InnerSloth’s hit game Among Us, were remarkably similar, but Epic Games did not mention Among Us; or InnerSloth in any of its statements. Naturally, this received a reaction from both the developer of Among Is;
A tweet from Fortnite’s official Twitter account last night said the waters had settled. “Update to Impostors mode v18.20 inspired by Hit Among Us” fortnite news. Afterwards, we watched acollusionbetween the two companies.
“Hey Among Us, there’s something we’d like to ask you while you’re here,” Fortnite said in a tear-rolling emoji. We didn’t get a chance to talk about how you inspired us. How about we work on something fun together?” he continued.
The Among Us account replied that “then your agents should contact our crew.”
This means there may also be a collaboration between Fortnite and Among Us in the near future. It’s also gratifying that this coldness is over.
