Eric Kripke, the executive director of Amazon’s popular superhero series The Boys, wants the series to be a video game, and he thinks Hideo Kojima is the best name for the job. Because Hideo Kojima talked about a project he canceled just the other day and said that the reason for this cancellation was the similarity of the project to The Boys. Eric Kripke immediately intervened in this statement, not missing the opportunity.
Kojima also said that he was considering Mads Mikkelsen for the lead role of this canceled project and gave some details about the project.
“While superheroes continue to be produced in abundance in the entertainment industry today, my idea is that they will have a worldview that is the exact opposite of what we’re used to, with a lot of dark humor, and that superheroes will be neither heroes nor villains,” Kojima said.
Kripke replied to Kojima, “Please come and make a game of The Boys! We can unite and succeed! I’m a big fan.”
The only response to Kojima from The Boys didn’t come from Kripke. Anthony Starr, who plays Homelander in the series, also supported Kripke, saying “I agree with you”. Kojima hasn’t responded to Kripke or Starr yet, but a very strange job can emerge from such a union. What do you think?
