Europa Universalis IV’s new downloadable Leviathan has made a very problematic debut and is currently the product with the lowest user review average on Steam.
Johan Andersson, director and game director of developer Paradox Tinto, apologized to the players, acknowledging that both Leviathan and the downloadable content of recent years were bad.
“Leviathan was one of our worst debuting content. It followed our long-standing low quality content, which started with Golden Century in 2018.”
“As studio director and play director, at the end of the day, it’s my responsibility, and I have to apologize for that. It’s all my fault.”
Johan Andersson is keen to make things right. The team will focus on fixing leviathan and bugs that have been in the game for years. The 1.31.3 patch is coming next week. Patches will continue to arrive in the coming months.
According to Johan Andersson, Paradox Tinto is full of talented developers who will ensure the game has a bright future.
