Eyeballistic shared details about the HD remake of the first three classic Mortal Kombat games in 2018, but said the project was canceled. Now they’ve got some interesting news, and they’ve indicated that they want to re-enact these HD remakes, and they’re going to try to get permission from Warner Bros. to do so.
Eyeballistic has launched a campaign for it, and they think they can get Warner Bros’ attention if enough players sign it.
Remode versions of these HD Remake versions will use Unreal Engine 5, and the team will recreate all characters and locations in 3D.
“We plan to recreate all the details of all the locations and characters in eye-catching 3D form. Of course, there will be all the fatality, brutality, friendship and animality movements. Characters and locations will be 4K resolution and we’ll offer 60 fps gameplay with the power of Unreal Engine 5. In fact, using real instruments, we will refresh all music and give it a modern cinematic sound.”
Eyeballistic shared screenshots show some of the new designs, and I think they’ve done a pretty good job.
