F1 2021 had a somewhat challenging launch period, especially due to various errors and problems that occurred in the PS5 version. Just last month, development studio Codemasters released a patch that removed Ray Tracing from the PS5 version to improve stability.
Codemasters quickly released another patch to reactivate ray tracing. But this week, it had to remove another important feature in the PS5 version. This time, the 3D audio feature on ps5 has been disabled. The reason it was disabled was because players could not hear the sound of their own cars and it coincided with the sound of other cars nearby.
The latest patch notes can be found here. Codemasters also noted that 3D audio will be back once these audio issues are resolved.
