Facebook has announced it is temporarily halting the sale of Oculus Quest 2 virtual reality headsets, citing skin diseases.
Facebook plans to get the cap’s components back in collaboration with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Health Canada.
Plans to roll back the virtual headset, as well as new silicone cases around the world, were also unveiled, the Oculus blog announced.
“Starting August 24, all Quest 2 titles will come with a silicone case in each box,” Facebook reported.
The new headphone cases will be provided for free and will be sent to buyers in all countries where Oculus Quest 2 is sold.
Facebook will also launch a new 128GB Oculus Quest 2 on August 24, which will include silicone cases.
